Make the most of your RSS feed..it's free advertising!

  • Try to list at least 20 new items in your store every few days, because RSS works off of your most recent items.  Here's what you need to do:
  • Log onto your ebay account, go to My Ebay, and click on Manage Store.

  • Click on Listing Feeds in the left hand menu.  It will bring up an RSS page.  Chose "distribute your listings via RSS", then click apply
  • Chose View My Store.  Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see an orange box RSS.  Click on it.
  • Now right click the address in the browser bar (address bar) and copy it.  You will need to open up a notepad or blank word page to paste this address on for future use.
  • Next log on to feedburner.com.  It is free.
  • Click on My Feeds at the top of the page.  Pick Burn a Feed.  In the empty box, paste the URL that you saved to your notepad, or blank word page.
  • Follow the rest of the guide instruction on the website.
  • After the Feed is burned, you'll be at the dashboard.  Choose the Optimize tab, then Browser Friendly.
  • Pick Clear Feed in the dropdown menu. and click activate
  • Next click the Publicize tab and on the left pick Pingshots.  Choose as many of the defalt services as possible and activate.
  • Back at the left hand side you can choose Chicklets, if you wish to display an icon in any of your listings, your blog, or your about me page.  I recommend only 1 or 2 to keep it simple for your customers.  When the chicklet is picked the html displays at the bottom.  Just highlight and copy, then paste to your notepad or word page.  Use the html at the bottom of the pages you have chosen for their display.

That's it.  Now just log out and your are all set!
