Supplies: You will need one yard of ruffled or pleated quilt binding (the yellow flower was made from pleated binding; the roses from gathered binding) in your choice of color for each 3 inch flower, a hot glue gun, and some artificial leaves (optional).
To begin, fold one end of the binding down with the ruffled / pleated portion facing to the left at a 45 degree angle and affix with a daub of hot glue (refer to the photo below).
Then wind about 2-3 inches tightly to form the center of the flower, again using hot glue to hold everything in place. Continue in this manner until you reach the end of the binding. Use a bit more hot glue to hold the edge tight. Trim the bottom and that's it! These pretty roses are so fast to make (less than five minutes each) and can be used in so many places. Satin and eyelet binding can also be used for even more variation.
