E-bay has finally cracked down on some of the worst artifact con-artist selling there reproduction junk as authentic ancient artifacts. We have received many e-mails from fellow e-bayers asking what is going on with e-bay pulling listings for being grave / cave items.
After personally speaking to e-bay on the phone we were informed they have not been pulling items for being grave items rather they have been pulling the items for being listed in the Pre 1600's category when in fact they are modern reproductions.
E-bay has informed some of the worst artifakers that they need to list there junk as reproductions or the items will be removed. Many of these sellers are now claiming e-bay is pulling there items because of complaints they are grave / cave items. This is just a sales pitch to deceive you the buyer into thinking the item is authentic when in fact it's a modern made piece and most likely was made by the seller the day before.
As a heads up to all you artifact collectors buying on e-bay, be sure to look at what catagories the item is listed in. You will find this on the top of the item page in blue. If the item is listed in the reproductions catagory then it's a modern made piece. The seller often times will make false claims in the item discription to cover this up so be sure to read between the lines.
