My little girl who is now 9mo. had a bad case of diaper rash when she was 5mo. I used every thing under the sun! here is a note for all CREAMS DO NOT WORK!!!!!!
the point is to DRY the bottom /let the bottom air dry and breath!
Not to slap some bad smelling thick cream on it.
SO....i couldn't find anything that was really working. the rash was no worst BUT not really doing better.
I was chatting away to my mother and told her what was going on.
She laughed for a few seconds and said you should be using CORN STARCH!
She told me to put a few spoonfuls in a baby wash cloth and tie it up with a rubber band or ribbon.
each time i changed she diaper to wipe very well and possibly wash THE BABIES BOTTOM under water let the bottom air dry a bit ... just a few seconds or more; then puff a bit of the corn starch (in the baby wash cloth) on the rash... NOT A LOT just enough to have a very very thin layer over the rash.
make sure you change the baby wash cloth every day and keep in in a plastic bag or waterproof bag of some sort.
the rash looked so much better over just 24 hrs.
it was gone in 3 days.
i ask our pediatrician about it and she said that was fine to use it. Just to put a thin layer and not much more!
it works like a charm and the a box of corn starch is about a dollar!
Try it before you buy the creams! please.
