I recently purchased what I thought were authentic CHRISTOPER RADKO Hand blown, Hand Painted ornaments made in Europe. Was I in for a surprise when I received my shipment. I received two of the most poorly constructed, poorly painted miniature ornaments that I have ever come across. They are not the authentic Christopher Radko ornament that we have come to know and appreciate. It was obviously immediately and intially I thought they were fakes. After a bit of research, I discovered that they were made under the RADKO name and were used for the Teleflora industry to be used on miniature trees that florists sell. And I wonder if these these poorly crafted items were created after RADKO sold his business to Rauch Industries. The person I purchased these two items from knew that they were Teleflora ornaments but did not include that in the description and now has put more up for auction again without fully disclosing that they are Teleflora Ornaments. People shouldn't be hoodwinked into thinking they are getting an authentic ornament. The seller's ebay name is lstcouncil and as of today she has five items listed that are Teleflora ornaments....you can tell if you are able to see the metal tag....it is rectangular in shape....if you have the unfortunate luck in getting one of these by mistake....the RADKO name is written in cursive and the tag itself is very flimsy an cheaply made. I have made a report to Ebay about this seller and these items.
These items were never intended to be sold to the public. Christopher Radko would be horrified to hear that someone is out there listing them as authentic hand blown, hand painted ornaments made in Europe.
