Okay, so I decided it was time to stop smoking.  On my 29th birthday, oct 27th, i filled the prescription.

However, i didn't start the program until oct 28th...It says you can smoke UP TO the 1st week you are taking Chantix.  (this is just getting the meds into your system).

after about 3 days of taking this...i went from smoking 1 pack a day, to about 4 Cigarettes a day!  The desire was simply NOT THERE.

On the 7th day...i had completely QUIT smoking.  it's now been 2 weeks and i have went from taking the pill twice a day, to taking 1/2 a pill ONCE a day!  This stuff is awesome! 

I'm going to pay to have my parents get on this medication, so that the whole family can be smoke free by christmas!!!  What better gift than HEALTH, and possibly getting to spend a few extra years with each other?!?! 

So chantix DOES work!! 

The only problem i found, was ...you HAVE to eat before you take it...it literally makes me Gag if i take it on an empty stomach.

Also, the HABIT of smoking is still there....so..i've replaced my "smoke breaks" with clean breaks!...instead of lighting up...i just pick a room of the house to clean...it's working out great, and my house has NEVER BEEN CLEANER...lol...

Most insurances do NOT cover chantix..but a lot of companies are trying to get them too, so maybe soon...but the script only costs about $120 a month....with the treatment period lasting anywhere from 1 month up to 4 months...either way..it's going to save you money!!!
