Hello to all,

QuikClot is new and improved.  I've used it.  It works as promised.  And contrary to some popular beliefs, it's great on any bleeding wound.

I was at a pool party where the kids were going back & forth from the pool to the kitchen.  One 9 year old girl fell and gashed her chin.  Her mom was a licensed Paramedic.  With pressure and elevation, bleeding continued for a longer than normal amount of time... and so did the child's screaming.     I came to the mother and father holding their daughter, explained this is the new QuikClot and applied it.  In two seconds, the bleeding had stopped.  More important, the child's screaming had stopped also. All parties were happy.

Bottom line:  The stuff is not expensive(Cabelas sells the Sport for $9.99 and Antibacterial for $18.99).  I've seen where the professional First Responders can purchase it for less. (Professionals, see your normal distributors)

Plus it no longer burns.  The old stuff heated up to 140-180 degrees F.  The new formula warms up to about 4-5 degrees above normal body temperature. And then, the temperature reduces to normal ambient temperature after two minutes.

And the best part, the new stuff is in a "tea bag" or sponge format.  This allows for application in any wind, angle, or pressure.  In some parts of the country, winds are not helpful in pouring of anything.  The new Quikclot versions are safe to use in any condition.

So for anyone that may have to deal with a bleeding situation, this is a decision that's less than $10.00.

Many officials think it can't be used in a civillian application.  I'm here to say that with more and more of my neighbors on Plavix , aspirin, or other blood thinners,  normal pressure and elevation is not enough.

However QuikClot in the hands of any bystander, can "buy" some time.
