Bidders and Buyers - Use Caution when bidding and buying Quickbooks. I have purchased a used version of Quickbooks Pro 2006, I personally called Intuit (makers of Quickbooks) to use the Payroll component (which is a separate annual member fee to Intuit) and I spoke with one of their reps. I had to give the license registration number on the cd and register it. However, the used cd had already been registered to the previous owner and Quickbooks would not allow me to register it to my company, therefore making the payroll component un-usable. Intuit DID offer me a $20 discount to return the used cd back to them and pay to up-grade to 2007 version for $179. I (personally) will never purchase another software cd if the factory seal has been broken and I wish to register the cd. However, it would be fine to buy it used, only if you do not plan on registering the software with the company.
