Check your item for a makers address on an attached tag, box or insert.
Address without a USPS Postal Zones or ZIP code was most likely made prior to 1943/1944 (ie. new York, NY).
The USPS introduced Postal Zones (ie. New York 6, NY) in the 1943/1944 time period.
If it has a Postal Zone in the address the item was made after 1943/1944 and prior to the introduction of USPS ZIP Codes, July 3rd 1963 (ie. New York, NY 10006.
If your item has a zip code it was made after 1963.
