Do you like your stamping to be fast and furious, but want people to be impressed by it too? Here are some easy techniques that are sure to wow those receiving your handstamped projects!
MASKING
- Stamp your image on cardstock.
- Stamp again on scrap paper.
- Carefully cut around your scrap image, this is your mask.
- Place mask on top of cardstock image.
- Now stamp another image over a part of the mask to create a layered look.
TIP: To keep mask in place, stamp on a post-it note!
REPETITION
- Ink a stamp.
- Stamp your image.
- Restamp again without re-inking.
- Now you can get a multiple colored look with one stamp pad!
MARKERS
- Use a marker to apply color only to the part of the stamp that you want shown. Use more than 1 color for a new look!
- Breathe on your stamp to remoisten and then stamp the image on your cardstock.
BLEACHING
- Wet paper towels with bleach.
- Press your stamp in the bleach and then stamp on your cardstock.
TIP: Works best on dark colored cardstock. Wipe your stamp off as soon as you're finished.
