I have been using vintage double edge safety razors for some time now. I have read all the procedures about how to get the best wet shave ever and they work great. I love to shave in the morning and enjoy a few minutes of Zen like peace. But you need about 10 to 15 minutes to do this correctly. Here is a very useful alternative.

THE QUICK SHAVE METHOD

After taking your hot shower instead of lathering with your favor shaving cream skip to your Nivea for Men after shave balm. The one without alcohol. Put a small amount into your hand and massage it into your face while you are still warm and wet from the shower. Then quickly reach for your Gillette Adjustable, Merkur or Schick safety razor and gently begin to shave using the after shave as your lather.

It is fast.

If you are like me and go back two or three times, make sure to add the after shave each time. It is also great to use a cold razor. Zip zip zip and you are done.

Note This method does not replace the classic wet shave.

I suggest you use this as your back up that you use in between the more thorough shaves. Well it works for me. Make sure to rinse your razor thoroughly to get the oil off the blade.
