1.WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE IN SWISS BLUE TOPAZ AND LONDON BLUE?9ans:topaz comes out of the earth clear,unlike turquoise or tanzanite,and must be heated to get a color.it takes about 3-4 months to get a light blue,thus low price,and it takes about a year to get a nice london blue color-hence =high price.

2.WHY DONT I SEE PERIDOT ANYMORE?ans:there is peridot around,but not as plentiful as before when it came from china,it is now being mined in other parts of the world ,but at a high price and american buyers arent buying much of it.

3.IS IT TRUE LAB CREATED STONES ARE JUST AS GOOD AS REAL?ans:nothing ,ever is as good as real,jewelers are suppose to hold to a high standard to keep the color and hardness etc. the same,most do ,and i myself prefer lab created except for opals,for some reason,i have never seen a lab or synthetic opal that looked real,and they still ask an arm and a leg,.i recommend lab created stones,in most categories ,except opals,=go for the real,they dont cost that much more and look a heck of a lot better.

4.I BOUGHT A NICE RING FROM A TOP SHOPPING NETWORK STOREAND IT TARNISHED AND TURNED ORANGE??ans:14k gold doesnt tarnish or turn orange ,if you buy it plated,make sure it isnt over brass or base metals,make sure it is plated over silver,(even then it can tarnish some due to silver oxidation if gold plating isnt heavy enough)try to get 80mills up==meaning they dipped it 80 times=the more mills=the more dips=and less wear and tear=which leads me to say=stay away from magazine ads,stick to a reputable company like hsn,qvc,palm beach,etc.

5.WHY DID MY SILVER NECKLACE TURN BLACK?ans:silver is a metal that oxidizes with the air,it does not hurt the value,just take a silver polishing cloth and rub.,it will be good as new and no value lost..

6.WHAT IS BEST TO CLEAN JEWELRY?ans:there are many creams and lotions and machines on the market,ive tried most of them,liked very few,i have found if you mix up a compound of =1 tlb.salt,1tlb.baking powder,1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid,1 cup water (hot)and put all on top of foil in a glass bowl,it will clean just about any jewelry you got.just drop jewelry in-let soak 5-10 min and rinse and wipe.!walaaaa!great!

7.WHY DOES MY NEW RING LOOK DULL?ans: rings tend to dull with sweat,oils from body ,lotions we wear,and soaps we use,take off ring use a soft toothbrush and a mild toothpaste and clean and rinse and dry well,may even need a q-tip to dry places,drying is important,it should look new as ever!
