Questions such as "Do I need to protect my fence against electrical surges?" or "Why do I need to purchase a surge supressor when I have one built into my transmitter?" are common.

Although most of the transmitters we sell include built in surge protection, this surge protection only protects the transmitter from surges that come via the A/C supply.

The more important consideration is the surge that can come from the loop of boundary wire that you have in your yard.
