To Buyers:
Carefully Read the Descriptions and Small Print (if it exists) in Any and All Listings Before You Bid or Buy -
Protect Yourself from Being Scammed by Dishonest Sellers who Purposely Misrepresent Items -
Unfortunately, there are many sellers on ebay who try to trick buyers by:
-
Miscategorizing Items - for example - choosing Italian glass or French glass or Hull pottery as Categories when their items are made in China
-
Placing untrue words in Titles to fool you - for example - using Antique or Vintage or Victorian in Titles when the items are actually New
-
Using unrelated words and phrases in descriptions - for example - Venetian or Italian or Murano or Galle or Roseville or Majolica or Staffordshire when the items are clearly made in China
Remember to read everything in every listing before bidding or using Buy It Now.
Sometimes a seller will include a statement, in very small print which is an obvious contradiction to his or her Title, Catagory and Description.
It is Important to Read All the Small Print!
Don't be Fooled!
A KNOWLEDGEABLE BUYER IS A SMART BUYER
