My house is my palace!!!  My husband, two children and myself have recently moved into our 8th house in 6 years.  We've been here 9 months and what a difference.  It's becoming more beautiful by the day and by each auction won!

When I walked into the filthiest house I had ever seen the birds perching on the coving and their excrement crunching beneath my feet didn't prepare me for the most stunning panoramic view of Brighton and Hove sea front(uk).  I knew that we had found the house of our dreams and we were here to stay.

I spent the months prior to the move buying every house magazine possible, designing the asthetic alterations with my architect and filling a scrapbook with idears and visions.  My architect told me that my visions would cost me over £200,000 at which I choked and made it my mission in life to prove her wrong!

That's when I really discovered the vast and amazing world of ebay.  My kitchen is clad with designer stainless steel fittings including the most amazing Hotpoint built in coffee machine and gorgeous big stainless steel range cooker with glass hood.  The limestone tiles, granite worktops and huge american fridge are also thanks to ebay.

Finally the planning office have passed my contemporary designs for the house and we're now embarking on finding slate roofing tiles, swimming pool and anything else we can on ebay. 

In my estimate, we have saved two thirds of our costs by using ebay and for that I am truly grateful and your biggest fan! 

My advise to you is plan everything you want in advance using high quality shops to quote for you and inspire you with idears.  Use high quality magazines and then log on to ebay.  If what you're looking for is not there immediately, be patient, it will be soon.  You too will have a palace at apartment prices!
