Proper care of Uberry Italian charm bracelets.

  1. Uberry charms come in the following styles:
    • Stainless steel.
    • Stainless steel with gold trim.
    • Stainless steel with gold centers.
  2. Normal wear and tear.
    • Your Uberry charms are built to withstand normal wear and tear.  They are both scratch and water resistant.
    • I decided to put a bracelet thru a variety of abuse.  The bracelet was a double bracelet composed of 2 - 18mm photo charms, 18 - 9mm photo charms and 18 - 9mm stainless steel starter links.  The photo charms are all sealed with an epoxy based jewelers sealant, not the cheaper poly based compound used by inferior manufatures and some home based designers.
    • The following is the abuse and the result:
      1. The bracelet was tossed approximately 12 feet in the air and allowed to strike concrete over 300 times.
        • No apparent damage was visible to the naked eye.
        • Under magnification slight scratching was visible on the starter links
        • The bracelet was cleaned using a jewelers cloth and appeared brand new.
      2. The bracelet was tossed approximately 12 feet in the air and allowed to strike gravel over 300 times.
        • Other than a coating of fine powder, the bracelet was undamaged.
      3. The bracelet was thrown agains a wooden object approximately 20 feet away over 50 times.
        • My arm hurt, but no visible damage to the bracelet.
      4. Bracelet was worn in the shower over 30 times.
        • Bracelet showed no damage.
      5. Bracelet was washed in the pocket of a pair of blue jeans 5 times.
        • Bracelet showed no damage.
      6. One charm was opened and closed, using a double ended charm key over 1,000 times.
        • No individual charm suffered no damage.
      7. The final abuse was the striking of a single starter charm on a concrete block with a hammer.
        • The charm was damaged beyond repair.
    • Under normal circumstances you can expect your bracelet to last you a lifetime.
  3. Care and cleaning of your bracelet.
    • wash your bracelet with warm soapy water and dry with a clean cotton cloth.
    • periodically polish your bracelet with a jewelers cloth.

I hope this guide was useful and informative.
