If you use your own packaging, you do not qualify for flat rate, in the flat rate boxes, and you pay retail for postage and delivery confirmation if not printed online.

Priority Mail Large Video Box (O-1096L)
Note- This box is bigger (and stronger-thicker) than the Small Flat Rate Box. You pay the actual Priority Mail weight charges to ship this one, however if under a pound you can ship nationwide for same price flat rate as other Priority Mail packages of 1 lb. or less. It allows you more room for bubble padding, foam filling, and protection of small light weight packages..
IMPORTANT: Do not use Priority Mail branded boxes for other shipping services. The Post Office will return box to you, reject the shipment, or charge the receiver postage due.
IMPORTANT: If it does not state FLAT RATE it does not ship FLAT RATE. Do not use FLAT RATE shipping labels on those Priority Mail Boxes that are not flat rate -- it will be returned, or your recipient will pay postage due before delivery.
