Ahhh.. A great Lp indeed! Princess Tinymeats' compilation lp, a collection of 7" and 12" releases is one the essential recordings for any fan of the 1980's electro-noise-atmosphere genre. A hard to find ditty I might add. However, it was the greatest full-length to be put out by a short lived prodigy of a group. Also, a splinter-group, latter member of the quintessential Irish group "The Virgin Prunes." His/her name was Bintii, Daniel F. with a couple of other partners in crime. The Virgin Prunes had various line-up changes that included (most remebered by a mass of  U2 fans for Dik Evans, brother of Dave "The Edge" Evans and for Bono's buddy Gavin Friday.) I believe the most important counter-part was bintii, a visionary with a wealth of ideas to keep P.T. fresh and unrepetitive, though only releasing 3-4 singles as Princess Tinymeat, their sound varied from abstract-harsh-noise, to satire-fused songs such as "Bun in the Oven." However, my personal favorite song, as it appeared on the "Bun In The Oven," 7" and 12" release, also collected with the 12 inch remix version on "Herstory." A melodic mix of noise, trumpets and piano (mostly made up of tape loops, etc.) It proves to be the most worthy song. Though not to take away from the other tracks. If you are an old timer like me (36 years old.) A bi-product of anything abstract released by 80's groups,. or you're looking for inspiration to re-create (not copy, mind you,) or need the influence to spark ideas withing your own group, I sugest you seek this lp or it's individual e.p.s out! If you're a completist-collector like I am, of  ealry Rough Trade releases, is another reason to get it. It won't sit dormant in your collection very long, as my copy (vinyl, is which is the only format I've found to date,) gets several spins on the Turntable often. I usually turn people on to that record everytime someone asks me to play something different than anything they've heard in the past 20 years (and  usually end up making copies for those same folks as well.)  Whatever yer schtick or gimmick is, this is an a most important and essential lp to own! John W.
