As a long time collector of Green Bay Packers memorabilia I have seen numerous items that I would consider steals in the marketplace. When I view the items a little closer you first impression is "wow, what a great price for a Brett Favre autograph" If you have never viewed many items you probably don't know the difference between a $100 signed 8x10 photo and a $9.99 8x10 photo. The big difference here is this. Many of todays players do not sign through mail, at the stadiums or outside hotels anymore. If they do, the quality is usually very poor you wouldn't want it anyway. When you can purchase a Brett Favre for $10 you should ask yourself "why do I see 50 of them for $100 and only a few for $9.99" It is not that sellers are trying to make $90 off of you it is the simple fact that the cost of Brett Favre autograph to a dealer on the wholesale level is well above $9.99. Sellers will often state "in person" signature and show a lousy picture of a guy leaving a hotel room. If the price seems to good be true, it probably is. Shop with caution and always ask questions. If you want a signature and don't care if Brett Favre actually signed it, then by all means buy the $10 photo but note that Brett's true signatre always come with his hologram COA attached to the item as do many other current athletes. Trust people who offer refunds, can show that they have REAL proof of players signing for them and realize that most autograph dealers put on their own shows and signings.
