Don't leave a hole in your clothes when tagging them with a price tag
1. Insert your needle in a location where two seams come together, like the underarm seam or cuffs. This might take a little bit longer to do, but your customers will appreciate the quality and time you have taken to prevent damaging the goods.
2. Use an existing tag to insert the needle through, like the tag that is normally found in the back of the collar.
Tip for changing the needle
Use a rubber kitchen pad that you use to loosen jars to grab the needle to remove it. NEVER use pliers to remove the needle.
If the needle lever will not rotate aft after you change the needle, push the point of the needle on a hard surface (gently). This helps to seat the needle better than you can do with your hands.
When to Change the Needle
Change your needle frequently. Run your finger along the needle from the base to the point. If you feel a burr or curling at the tip of the needle, it is time to replace it with a new one. Using a dull or burred needle can snag your clothing.
