PID temperature control:
There are a number of part-time businesses and hobbyists out there on the internet, who, after having noticed a market for it, are putting together bags of new and / or used parts with some instructions on how to slap an electronic temperature controller on the side of YOUR (Silvia or Gaggia) espresso machine, in the comfort of your own home. Two or three of them are here on eBay. Some of them take longer than three WEEKS to deliver -- a kit of parts!Product offering:
The hobbyist products are designed to work on basically one machine, and is STUCK on the side, with glue or velcro. One word? Ugly. Wouldn't it be great if your supplier had engineered and installed this technology on DOZENS of different machines, and HUNDREDS of installations, with great results? Of course it would.
Quality:
The quality of the components used in the kits varies from brand new, recognizable brands, through used, to completely unknown, unsupported "Brand Z" parts. Our controllers are always brand new, latest, with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser! All of our installs include warranties on the ENTIRE MACHINE! No one else offers this level of security and confidence.Service:
If your machine is new, what to do? Work on it yourself and void the manufacturer's warranty?? If a problem arises, do you peel off the velcro and other plastic parts hoping that the warranty provider will not notice? (It is literally stuck on the side of the machine for just this purpose) Is that a realistic solution?
If it is out of warranty, what if you run into an issue where you need a tool or a technique you do not have? Do you have the time, the tools and the confidence for drilling, and wiring?
What if your machine has a problem NOW, that you do not know how to fix, that really needs to be handled by a pro for you to get the best possible result? Do you really know if your machine is working 100 percent?
