Collecting , Owning or Selling.  What you need to know about your collection.  People put great value on their collections, you need to get the facts.  Use a buying guide like the, Official Precious Moments Collectors Guide to Figurines, by John & Malinda Bomm.  Available in most book stores.  Make yourself, knowledgable.  Be realistic, know that not every item has the same value to someone else.  Replacement value is only a guide, or used for insurance purposes.  If insuring take at least three pictures of each item and keep in a safe place.  The item should be meaningful to you.  Keep it clean and safe.  Display it safely, and away from direct sunlight.  Always keep the original box, they fold flat for storage.  Not everyone sees the value you do.  Don't over collect.  What good is a collection if you can't display it and enjoy it, rotate you items if you have a large collection.  Join a group or club that is directly relates to your collection.  Remember if it makes you smile it is worth collecting.  Set limits on your spending.  Enjoy your Collection!
