I set a goal last year to leave my career job and to make a living entirely from my e-bay sales and half. com. My first step was to obtain a Power seller status which I did successfully by June of this year.  My next step will be to obtain the different steps of power seller status so it gives me a goal to achieve, after that the sky is the limit. So more or less it gives you a step or goal to reach on your way to achieving financial success with your business. I think most important for me has been customer communication concerning questions for products, shipping etc..My business is all about selling my service. Most of my sales are from books so I pre-analyze on several different sights a book before I list it. (no small paperbacks or best sellers)I only list  books that are in vg to new condition unless its a rarity such as the only copy around.Books that are more common are listed on Half.com to minimize my listing costs and the rarer hard to find books are listed in e-bay so more or less I have an equal balance. Presently I make a pretty good buck on e-bay but I need to list more sales in orderto net more profit. I just try to remember that the franchises such as McDonalds, burger king only net 5-10% of sales and that keeps me going. Always set your next easy goal and you will see that it will happen.
