NEW WHARF POTTERY

The New Wharf Pottery Company was formed around 1877 by two brothers, Thomas and William Wood.  The Wood Brothers were descended from a long line of master potters, including the celebrated "Enoch Wood" who's pottery craftsmanship was known throughout the 18th and 19th centuries and remains highly celebrated today.

The Wood brothers established their pottery in the prestigous pottery district Stoke-on-Trent,  located in Staffordshire, England.  Scrolled and scalloped edging, intricate floral patterns and delicate designs highight the craftsmanship of thier work which is still popular today. The pottery closed in 1894. The short time span of this company adds to the value of their beautiful pottery and dishware collections which command prices to reflect such quality pieces.
