Beware of the Postal scam. I was the happy winner of a portable Toshiba DVD player( used )the seller ajcomputers, also known as auctionsforless, and a host of other names. What this con artist did was send me a DVD player that was in non-working condition. He had stated it was tested and 100% giaranteed! So I contacted him...keep reading this is hwere it gets good, he instructed me to bring it to an authorized repair shop and he would fit the bill.
Well the repair shop said it wasn't worth fixing and charged me $25.00 for the diagnosis. I at once contacted the seller and he claimed it must have been damaged in shipping. he instructed me to file a claim through the USPS for damage, he was very cooperative up to this point. Well this is what you must know, the refund goes to the sender and he promised to send me the refund when it arrived, well needless to say I never heard from him again. Ebay dispute ruled in his favour for some reason even though he had done this to another customer before me...go figure. I never did send him back the Player as he would only sell it again! He is no longer a registered user, well at least not under the names he used previously. Sorry the name he used was autionforless (he couldnt even spell auction) I am still bitter as hell about the whole deal and used every option I could to recover my losses, but THEY ruled in his favour???? REMEMBER THE REFUND MUST GO TO THE SELLER AS PER USPS..THEN HE IS SUPPOSED TO FORWARD IT TO YOU..I would consider this mail fraud but how do you catch up with a ficticious name and no coopertion from Ebay to expose this character? So I am out $250 (they are cheap now) You are best off buying from Future Shop or another big box store with a return policy. The seller in this case avoided my mail until the 30 das were up and all protection afforded from Ebay is past. even though they say to allow up to 30 days for international shipments....Trick me once , shame on you..trick me twice
BE CAREFUL
