Here is a big revelation for you all. The US Postal Service, has to have Congress approve the postal increase rates. They just got a big okay from Congress to raise the rates on the .39 cent stamp to a big .41 cent stamp.
What about the .19-cent stamp? When is Congress going to approve that rate increase? They haven't done it so far. And how about the .21-cent stamp increase, when is Congress going to approve that one? So far the United States Postal Service has cheated the American Public out of .04 cents on every stamp purchased, and the postal service is the first one to tell you to file all these forms, in order to make sure everything is in order, so you can get a passport, or proper identification or a mailbox and the worse one yet, a refund from the United states Government who supposedly runs the United states Postal Service. Bad news people. The United States Postal SErvice is the biggest Corporation with in the United States Government, a private enterprize, now. A few of my friends, have dug up a lot fo dirt about this one. It appears, the United States Postal SErvice is no longer really affiliated with the United States Government, but still holds ties to such, just in case, they need someone like the FBI or DEA or Dept of Treasury to do their dirty work for them. Ever report a crime to the post office? Ever see an inspector from the post office show up to investigate anything? No...don't be too surprised, it is usually a local constable or a Special Agent of the FBI, the post office, will tell you it's there job to do this. WRong, all complaints, are to be checked by the Postal Inspector of all complaints. Not the FBI or the Local County Sheriff or the Police Officer. It is the responsibility of the US Postal Inspector. That is if the US Postal SErvice was really part of the US Government.
I guess, we all need a history lesson anymore, and start researching all the news archives out there, to see when the United States Postal SErvice became their own individual enterprize and no longer affiliated with the United states Government, and then we need to write to our Congressmen/women and ask why weren't the citizens notified of this, instead of finding it in a small article in the newspaper somewhere that no one would read, or was that the purpose behind it?
At any rate, the way our postage is increasing, and the fact that we are following along blindly and paying these rates instead of using alternative sources, well. All I can say is enjoy it, because when you are paying $1.00 for a stamp and it costs you $1.04 to mail it. Don't say you weren't warned. That should happen by the end of 2008. And the middle of 2010. You keep on paying the outlandish rates, I will use the other guys.
