Honesty is the best policy. I have bought and sold on Ebay for over 5 years, mostly sportscards and memorabilia and coins. I know what postage is supposed to cost and I simply pass on auctions where the seller is out of bounds. I realize there are selling fees, packaging costs, Paypal fees, and other expenses, however those should be factored in to the sale price, and not the shipping charges. First class mail takes 3-5 days. Priority is a little quicker, and UPS is also very efficient. Sellers, if a customer has favored you with an order, get it in the mail, NOW. When I receive a nicely packed order in 3-5 days, that seller goes to "my favorites" in my ebay, and I frequently reorder. If something shows up in 2-3 weeks, they will not see another order from me. Describe your item honestly, and pack it so it arrives as described. Sportscards should be sent in a plastic sleeve and toploader, and take it easy on the tape. I reuse the toploaders I receive to send out orders from others. Bubble mailers work the best. For larger items, if they are not in original packaging, a poly newspaper bag works well for protection. Then the inner packing of paper or styrofoam will not interfere with the product. Best rule - If you were buying this item from another, would you be happy when you received it? Call it the golden rule of Ebay.
