I started in the stone business, so I must say that for a long time porcelain and/or ceramic would not even enter my vocabulary. So this is not an easy thing for me to admit that porcelain is actually a very good alternative and in many cases superior product when compared to stone tile flooring. In addition, the types of products now being produced by leading porcelain companies are nothing short of incredible. The look and feel is identical and in many cases indistinguishable from natural stone.  In fact, the products are commonly referred to as "porcelain stone". 

The leading advantages of porcelain flooring tile are the ability of porcelain tile to endure heavy foot traffic at both residential and commercial locations as well as:

• Highly frost-resistant, and often frost-proof

•  resistant to scratching

• It is strong and long-lasting.

• Low (almost none) water absorption. which equates to less staining  and easier cleaning.

• Easily maintained:  needs no polishing, waxing, or sealing, and is cleaned easily with a damp mop.
