On my first auction with Liquidations.com, I bid and won on 'Huge Brand Name Mens Lot - J Crew, Abercrombie, Gap, Levis and more', quantity of 305 pieces. Yay!!!
Shipped very promptly...then....I had 48 hours to confirm receipt and lodge any negative findings. I had time to sort, fast check and count the items. Shipment was short 7 items (ok...), found an immediate 18 items that were obviously old, dirty, torn, etc....noted that to Liquidations.com, and asked them what to do if I found more problems? Well, if not disputed within 48 hours, forget it.
In the next few days of more detailed sorting, I found items from dry cleaners (tagged), uniform companies (labeled), logoed shirts, and many, many stained or totally worn clothes.
End result, I can try to auction about 125 of the 305 I purchased. But, in selling as either NWT or as Returned Merchandise, the asking prices are not sufficient to cover my costs.
Point of this guide? BE CAREFUL! I was very naive about my first (and last) purchase in this manner.
