For those of us who do not fit into the category of being "normal" size or shape, have no fear, Lane Bryant is here to save us.  Clothing that fit and flatters is their specialty.  I have found that Ebay is the best place to find clothing from this maker at extremely low prices which just happens to be a fraction of the actual cost of buying it at the store.  But, buyers beware!!!  There are people out there that try to knock of original Lane Bryant wear for those items you would find at your local Wal*Mart.

For those that don't shop at Lane Bryant, it is easy for you to lose your money to the scammers of the world out there.  Below are some tips to know if something is real or fake, also some helpful buying tips.

1. Look for authentic brands associated with Lane Bryant

• Cacique :  This is the brand name of all Lane Bryant intimates collection, make sure that the spelling is correct.  (hint:  if a seller is selling something, spelling should be correct according to the tag/price tag)
• Venezia :  This is the most common brand name sold at Lane Bryant.  Whether it is pants or a great blouse or tank, this is a very common article of clothing found. (this is also the proper spelling for reference)
• Houston, Madison, Lafayette & Lexington :  These are the most popular style names for dress pants carried by Lane Bryant.
• Cityology :  Is the common reference name for the Houston, Madison, Lafayette and Lexington collection.  Cityology is not a brand name for any outfits, rather it is a category that brand names fall into.  So don't get confused, people use this to their advantage!
• Danskin :  This is the brand name for active wear sold at Lane Bryant. 
• Venezia Sport :  This is the next Brand name for active wear carried by Lane Bryant.
• Miraclesuit :  This is the brand of swim wear sold by Lane Bryant.  Take notice that the word is combined.  Many sellers will list a swim suit as "miracle suit"  that is not correct and the buyer should beware of this.

     2.  Numbers can say alot. 

• Lane bryant pant sizes are:  12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 (panties are sized according to this chart.)  {buyers should by panties in a size smaller than what they wear in pants}
• Lane bryant shirt sizes are:  12/14, 14/16, 18/20, 22/24, 26/28 (swim wear is also sized the same)

******Take Note******

Lane Bryant is going to start offering size 30, 32 for pants and 30/32 for shirts in June 2006.  Buyers Beware, this is a common scam that is out there for us plus size women.
