Hi,

 I own & have sold the playstation 3. There are a few problems & things going on that I am afraid of. I hope this helps you make your choice on the amount of money to invest in this so called next gen system.

1. It isnt that different from the xbox 360 in graphics - true, the 1080p is a little better than the 1080i, but NOT that much.

2. Alot of gaming companies are signing with microsoft & nintendo because of the blu-ray disc. Sony wants them to do it basically their way or the highway.

3. Remember the Beta-Max / VHS Wars? or do you even remember the Beta-Max??

4. Sony was the one that released the beta-max & it was popular for how long???????

5. Same thing with the HD DVD & the BLU RAY ^^ It's all about who will win, not "there's enough for both of us" going on.

6. They overheat QUICKLY & freeze up alot, but I got it on launch & bugs usually come with the terriority.
