I would like to highlight some of the things to look for when purchasing Plastic Canvas pattern books. If you are new to Plastic Canvas, check a few of the items inside, read the instructions all the way through - to make sure they are clear. Look over the cutting diagrams, again to confirm that they will be easily understood. The patterns that are printed in color are also easier to follow.
It's always a plus when there are several patterns within the booklet. There are pattern booklets that only have 3 or 4 projects. I feel money is well spent if you see more than 3 patterns that you know you will want to make.
I also look for up-to-date styles or colors, especially when making plastic canvas projects for selling or gift giving. I have found Needloft Plastic Canvas patterns to fullfill most of these points. The House of White Birches, The American School of Needlearts, Annie's Attic as well as many others, are also Plastic Canvas pattern book distributors.
One good thing about purchasing pattern books, is it seems that they hold some resale value after you have finished with them. Everyday there are new and beginning plastic canvas crafters looking for exciting projects to do!
