This bluethooth headset is the best we've ever used.
For a long time, we were big fans of the Jabra bluetooth headsets. We loved the way that models like the BT500 and BT250v went behind the hear and had so little in front. This used to be a unique feature After our third BT500 decided to stop charging at all (that's three within the same year), we decided to look at alternatives.
The Plantronics Voyager 510 also has the bulk of its electronics behind the ear. It adds a mini-boom microphone. At first, we weren't thrilled with the idea of the boom, but as it turns out, it offers far superior sound quality. The people on the other end of our calls have stopped complaining.
The "WindSmart" technology really seems to work too. It allows for conversations outdoors, even when it's not windy. Of course it still doesn't sound as good as being indoors, but it lets us have conversations in wind conditions (even a light breeze) that where prohibitive with the Jabra options.
Overall, we really like this headset. It's comfortable and just plain works!
Pairs well with our Treo 700w pocketpcs (but note that NO bt headset currently supports voice dialing on the Treo 700w, even with the 1.6 upgrade of Voice Command).
