I have used money orders for every orders I made using this technique and it became successful. This process can take anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes to complete as per order. Here is an easy step-by-step instructions and this will help avoid confusion between you and the seller. An International Money Order can be done the same way as the regular Money Orders.

Once you get the money order (Make sure you have the EXACT amount as indicated on your order.), fill out your name and address and the seller's name and address, then at the bottom left where it indicates: COD No. or used for:. Here you would write in like this: Item Description: and fill in the main header of the item on the seller's web page. Next, write in this: Item # series of numbers assigned by Ebay. Do the same for the upper portion as well and keep that for your records.

Once you have the money order filled out with the appropriate information, the next thing you want to do is scan it in onto your computer. (Don't forget to detach the upper portion before you scan!) The scanned money order will work best in the bitmap program which came included with Windows. Using the font tool, make the letterings in bold capital letters and in the color of red. Mark them in the upper left hand corner blocking off the serial # with the word COPY and in the lower right hand corner type in NON-NEGOTIABLE. (That will stop sellers or anyone else from trying to reproduce it looking like the real money order to use again.) Give the bottom of the scanned money order some space and type in this:

Please keep this copy of the money order for your records. It is recommended that after you cash the actual money order, keep the cash with this copy of the money order until you make the transaction at your cash register or deposit it at your local bank. This helps to prevent losing the cash. Thank you.

After this is done, print it out. You may have to use a certain program such as Broderbund to resize the money order image to fit on a piece of paper. Now, you might want to create a folder and mark it for Ebay and then save the scanned money order in that folder. This scanned copy of the money order serves as your best defense against sellers if they do not ship your item at all and also serves as a proof to send to Ebay authorities of a scam made by the sellers and even if the seller claims that you did not send the payment.

After this is completed, type up a letter to the seller and include the Item Description of the seller's item header, the Item # (assigned by Ebay.) and the full cost as that on the money order, then print it out. Be sure that you give full information of the item you wish to purchase. Put the letter and the printed copy of the money order together and enclose the real money order into a security-type letter envelope, not the plain white one and send it out. You can send it out on Priority Mail if you wish to get it to the seller faster. Ask your local Post Master for further information.

When you get it sent out in the mail, notify the seller that the money order is on it's way to them as soon as you can and be sure to click on "Payment sent" on your order located in your Ebay account.

Now, this is simple. No hassle, no confusion! Guarantee that you will get your item(s) no problems and in less time!
