To start a web site, you need to have contents. DUH.. I know. But to have your contents, you need scripts. Yes it is true you can get scripts for almost 90% or more off on ebay. BUT..yup a huge BUT.

Copy"righted" or not, they are all copies, where some requires to buy a key code (not a license) in order to unlock the script to make it work. I have had an experience when buying a dating script back a year ago. It is advertised "Turnkey". Yup description is really luring, it makes me believes it can be installed just like that. I did install it in a minute or so but it ask me for key. I asked the seller, he said he has resale rights to it but no key....??????..I really want to set up the site so I checked the readme for fetching key. It'll cost $59! I bought the script for $9.99..$59 more? Since then I stopped buying scrpts off ebay. OF course it's unwise of me to buy copies without asking any quesitons or what-so-ever but thats not the point. Most scripts sold on ebay are either "key"less, small database, or not only first level domain but must be hosted on home/, not home2/. So if any reseller hosting customers out there, beware! Not all scripts will work. For other customers, watch out or your database will crash after few users!

Another thing that happened is I bought a matrix script. I set it up, all went great that day. BUT when I woke up, I got an email from my hosting provider that my account will be deleted if I don't erase that script and that they received a auto sent complaint from matrix script inventor that I am using illegal copy. So my point is it may seem legal (not in non-copy way) but in fact it's not once you've set up!!!!
