- The first thing about throwing a Great Birthday party for your boy or girl, is to first determine the theme. If your child is not old enough to tell you what the theme is (ie: Barney or Dora ), then you probably have to decide the theme on your own. You can also get an idea by what kinds of cartoons, or programs watch they.
- The next thing is to decide what your price range will be, so that you can determine how many people you can invite to fit into your budget.
- Confirm the location & plan. Generally, if held outdoors like at the beach, then you may need to do a lot of organizing (paper goods, drinks, snacks, food, etc). If indoors, a place that specializes in parties will generally cost more, but will save you time because you won't have to organize much. For instance, if you choose a place like Chuck E. Cheese's, then the food, party hats, and birthday cake are already included (Check websites for coupons that may help you save some $$). You may want to personalize with birthday party favors and goodie bags for the guests .
- Ask for help from friends or family, and delegate responsibilities. If you have games, then ask people (who enjoy doing this) to facilitate the games. If they can help to plan games, then have at it! You also can ask them to give you a list of what needs to be purchased for the games and prizes, and you purchase those things-make sure to recognize all the people who help you on the day of the party in some way or another.
- Send out the invitations.
- Plan the party schedule (11:00 guests arrive, 11:30 lunch, 12:30 games, etc.).
- You are ready for the big day! Get ready to have fun!
