I was just reading an article written with the sam title, that states lots of reasons for not feeling so secure with PP as a seller. I, too, have had my day with the arbitration folks at PP, however I was on the buying end of the deal.
Two years ago I was checking out a Antique Leather Purse on ebay, really liked it, bid on it and won. I had bid $29.00. This was my very first purchase on ebay. I paid for it within 24 hours with my PP account. I never received the purse, contacted the seller several times. I was given many excuses for why I had not received it. After waiting almost 2 months for the seller to send me my purchase, I finally contacted PP for assistance in getting my money back. They did not help me. I was told the purchase was not covered. I am not sure what kind of protection that is. But, I can promise you I did not receive the purse or a refund.
I stayed away from ebay until just a month ago. I have made several purchaes with PP. No problem so far but, can't help but be wary.
