If you are considering purchasing any used Pintech electronic drum gear (cymbals, drum pads etc.) be sure you have looked up the model of the cymbal or drum on Pintech's website pintechworld (.com) or contact Pintech directly at 800-445-0506. (you can also contact eBay member hopedrums, who is a Pintech representative)
Recently, there have been several members that have been selling DIY (do-it-yourself) type cymbals and pads and are labeling them as being Pintech. This creates problems for the buyer, because Pintech is not obligated to repair any part of the item should you have problems. Also, they will not provide tech support for you.
Remember, most of Pintech's newer products have their name molded into the product. The newer drums have Pintech molded into the metal on the bottom of their ConcertCast drums and all of their newer cymbals (except the VisuLite series) have their name molded into the material of the cymbal.
One of the most common mislabeled items are cymbals. Remember that Pintech's cymbals are all shaped like regular acoustic cymbals, in that they are completely round. If you are looking at a "Pintech cymbal" that is pie shaped, it is not a Pintech product.
An advantage to purchasing Pintech's products used, is that Pintech does offer a transferable warranty on used products, for a low registration fee.
