These are all important questions in the realm of finding your perfect gear for your outrdoor pursuit or vacation.
If you are going to a Mild climate (example: San Francisco) You may want to look at the following items
- Rain wear (preferably a light rain jacket, the venture, venture strider, diad, lightspeed) Rain Wear
- Light weight fleece (insulating layer, 100 weight fleece, aurora, tka 100, momentum) Fleece
- Wicking shirts (anything vaporiwck to keep your core temperature at a great level) vaporwick
- Wind jacket (wind blocking or wind proof, windstopper, windwall, or a hybrid)
If you are going to an extreme climate (example: Michigan, cold winters, hot summers) look at the following items
- Rain wear
- Light fleece for layering
- Wool for insulating
- 300 weight fleece for cool nights and days (denali)
- Hard shell jacket (seam sealed is preferred for its waterproofness) Jackets
- Soft shell for mild days and nights
- Down or Primaloft for COLD days and nights (prism optimus, arctic baltoro, metropolis, bella)
- wicking and moisture control tops (vaporwick or similar)
- and a great looking T-shirt for great summer days
