The first guide I wrote, Sell Photography Related Items with Copyright Awareness, had a lot of people ask me for some EXAMPLES.  So this guide is loaded with examples of items that are copyrighted.

Toys

Crayola Brand and EVEN these Swirl Stripes are copyrighted.

Mattel, Barbie, Fisher-Price and most other toy manufactures copyright there toys.

Rubicks Cube, Lego Products, Disney, Beanie Babies, Most other Stuffed Toys, and ANY Name Brand Toy Item is copyrighted and photographs of these items CAN NOT be sold.

Buildings

Eiffel Tower Night Light Show is Copyrighted.  The Eiffel Tower photo in the daylight is able to be sold in a photograph or jpeg file.

 LAS VEGAS Architecture is copyrighted.

ZOOS- San Diego Zoo or any animal in the Zoo is NOT to be photographed for sale.  MANY other Zoos have this same policy.

Navy Pier in Chicago, Empire State Building as the main focal point, MOST Museums and many other buildings ARE copyrighted.

OTHER ITEMS

Harley Davidson Motorcycles are copyrighted.

Hershey's Kiss and all Hershey's products are copyrighted.  DON'T include in your photo for sale.

John Deere Logo, Tractors, and Color Scheme (Green/Yellow) are ALL copyrighted.  These CAN NOT be included in photos for sale.

All Major League Sports and Sports Items are Copyrighted.

ALLOWED

Statue of Liberty is ALLOWED to be in photographs that can be sold.

Lincoln Memorial is ALLOWED.  These and some other items and statues are considered PUBLIC DOMAIN and are not copyrighted by a single individual.

This is of course, not a comprehensive list.  Hopefully, this just gives you an idea of what to avoid in your photography, jpeg, or post card related items that can be sold.  Remember, the original author of the work of art keeps the copyright and you have NO rights to sell any part of it, even a photography copy in any form.
