I wrote this guide in a blog once but am so proud of it i am turning it into a guide in hopes that many more eBayers (like you) will get to read it. I am so happy to be a Philadelphian.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Skyline (when i go away on vacation & i am coming home, on The Walt Whitman Bridge & see my city's skyline... i get butterflies in my stomach... i LOVE my city so much & there truly is NO PLACE LIKE HOME.

Did you all know it is known as "The City of Brotherly Love"? It is. I am a native Philadelphian myself & just love my town. Philadelphia is broken into a few parts, segments if you will, North Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, West Philadelphia, Southwest Philadelphia, The Northeast, The Greater Northeast & some counties which are father out then where i am from. I am from South Philadelphia; South "Philly" as we call it is more like a small town in a big city known for our Italian & Irish "neighborhoods", The Mummers Parade (an annual galla of men & now-a-days women dressed in spectacular outfits dazzled with sequins strutting up our main street, Broad Street, trying to win the top prize for that year but all the while fascinating the Philadelphia crowds & all those who come from all over the world to see), cheesesteaks & soft pretzels. Everyone here kinda, sorta knows each other or knows someone who knows that person. Did you get that? lol. If you were to look at a map of South Philly it would look like 1 big grid with 2 streets running through it diagonally, Passyunk Avenue & Moyamensing Avenue, the streets run from Front Street (closest to The Delaware River) all the way up the numbers scale besides Front Street which is actually what would be First Street which i guess didn't sound to good so they called it Front, not sure, lol. So Front Street, Second Street, Third Street & so on & so on & then the cross Streets are named all differently; some are named for historical figures like Mckean (St) , Mifflin (St) & others were named for what was indicative to the area in days of old, Pine (St), Chestnut (St), Walnut (St); this area where the streets are names after trees is now called Center City but was once known as "The Commons" a century ago when that land used to be covered in trees. Now-a-days there are many trees still in that area & some well known parks but other than that South Philadelphia is not really known for having trees. Center City is only a hop, skip & a jump from where i am from & feels like a world away! lol. It is landscapingly (if that is a word) BEAUTIFUL. Did you know that Center City is where all of our historical cultural centers & buildings are that our Founding Fathers once stood & our city has preserved it all these years. Indepence Hall is here in Philadelphia where "The Declaration of Independence" was written, The Betsy Ross House is not far away where Betsy Ross once lived & sewed [by hand] our Country's Flag, The country's first Tavern is here too where our founding fathers gathered to talk shop over a local brew, bet you didn't know that, more recently we are famous for Constitution Hall, an ode to our nations' Constitution where the actual Constitution lives now out from Washington D.C back to its original home, Philadelphia. We here are historically rich & the most visited state in the United States from visitors from all over the world, last count i saw was 20 million visitors each year. There is so much here in Philadelphia to do & see! Maybe when you plan your next vacation you will visit us here & if you are ever in the area of Third & Snyder drop by & see me.

HERE ARE SOME MORE PICS FOR YOU TO ENJOY.

Independence Hall where our Founding Fathers once gathered & wrote The Constitution of The United States & The Declaration of Independence.

There are some great links for you to read up on the birth of out nation & Independence Hall. Just search "Philadelphia" & "Independence Hall" in any major search engine for the official websites, i am not allowed to add outside eBay links, sorry.

Philadelphia's City Hall just newly restored to its original beauty

you all may have seen this on tv or somewhere; it is our world renowned LOVE Park Statue in Love Park on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, home to the...

Philadelphia Art Museum where Sylvester Stallone ran up the steps in his Rocky movies... YOU ALL HAVE TO HAVE SEEN THAT???

the Betsy Ross House, a museum now & you can take a tour; Betsy once lived & sewed out nation's first flag here.

eBay has alot of to offer by the way of Philadelphia; our baseball team The Phillies items, Liberty Bell items, postcards & much more. search Philadelphia in our ebay search engine to see what eBayers are selling by the way of my town.

There is so much to do & so much to see in Philadelphia. Did you know it is the most visited major city in the United States? It is. Maybe when you plan your next vacation you might consider making Philadelphia your next stop. You will have so much fun & learn alot too. There are alot of tours you can go on, great places to eat, great nightlife & so, so much more.
