Usually I rely on ebay to get me those items I can no longer find anywhere else; the retired bedding from Pottery Barn, or the retired pattern in a Vera Bradley bag. Almost always, I get what I am looking for, even if it takes awhile. Using the Saved Searches feature is so time and labor saving.
When I begin, I do a broad search, and then I narrow it down. For example, I would search for Pottery Barn Quilt, and look to see what I like. Then I would add the size to my search: Pottery Barn Full/Queen Quilt, and so on. Once I have all of my particulars, I then eliminate anything from my search which is still coming up that I do not want by SUBTRACTING it from my search: Pottery Barn Pink Under The Sea Full/Queen Quilt, -twin, -crib. Finally, I hit the Save this search link at the top right side of the search result page.
Ebay saves this search for 6 months and every time someone lists an item that matches my search criteria, ebay emails me all about it!
