Hi again and as the title suggests patience is the key to the hunt for the book you want.  Be as exacting as possible when looking for the book you want and what I mean by this I will explain.  First find out in what era the comic was produced for instance  Amazing Spiderman number one is Silver Age so look under the Silver Age heading link on the left of the listings.  Second type in exactly what you are looking for in this case type in Amazing Spiderman 1 and it will be up to you to use the options listed on the left of the listings, such as displaying "buy now" only etc.  Now here you can peruse through the listings and select the one you want for what you want to spend and you can do it by bidding against others that are interested or under the buy it now heading you can search through and find the one that is in the best shape to fit your budget.  Under the buy it now is where you control things as the seller doesn't want to hash through all the bids and in bidding it can be quite frustrating as some of the bidders will sit on their computers all day and have My Ebay keeping a constant eye on the item so they make sure they get the item.  My point is if you find it in buy it now you may pay a little more as a rule but if you can afford it, it sure lowers the stress level.  Here is the real fun part, after you do all the searching and feel you have looked through everything and walk away in frustration just take a little extra time and you may just find it passively looking through the listings calmly, as has happened for me more than once.  So don't give up just have patience and enjoy the hunt, it can be very rewarding in the long run.

For the newcomers I know how easy it is to lose focus on your search so remember the internet is a great big, wide, wonderful world and anything can be found out there with the right search pattern.  I don't know if it's right to tell you to feel free to email me with questions or for want of help but if it is allowed here please feel free to as it's easy enough to find me in Ebay messaging.  I can't offer any help in the selling department really but in collecting, probably as that is what I'm all about and building the collection you want is easy with patience and without breaking the bank.  Remember, Rome was not built in a day although I wasn't the foreman on that job but I think you've gotten the point and happy hunting.
