Here are my words of wisdom about PartyLite items found on eBay:

1. NEVER bid on a PartyLite product (or any eBay item) unless the auction lists an ACTUAL photograph of the item that you are bidding on! Without a photo of the ACTUAL item... who knows what you will actually get?
* Sellers often swipe photos from catalogs for their auction listings, BEWARE this is illegal against US Copyright Law, as well as forbidden by eBay rules.

2. Swiped catalog photos often have images not at all related to the auction!
** Catalog images are deceiving! Bidders generally have to read through "small print" to find out what they are actually bidding on.

3. BEWARE of PartyLite items labeled as "NEW".
*** Carefully check auction item photos for PartyLite Logo!
Do the product boxes have the new or Old PartyLite logo?
OLD logo = a group of 4 candles with 1 flame.
Curent logo = 3 candles in a row with 3 flames.

The item may be new in terms of "use"... but an OLD PartyLite logo is a dead give-away of age!!!
I have been told that PartyLite candle scents have a shelf life of 5 years or less. The newer the product: the stronger the scent. The older the product: the weaker or less likely you are to still have that scent.
