Panic! At the Disco - Guide to Panic! At the Disco
In 2005, the band Panic! At the Disco released their first album: A Fever You Can't Sweat Out. A fusion of rock, emo and electronica, the band found popularity relatively quickly, with the album landing at the 112th position on Billboard Magazine's chart and 6th on the independent album chart. Sales continued to grow in part thanks to their extensive tour schedule and online promotion.
Originally from Las Vegas, the band members are all relatively young. In fact, when they were initially signed to their current label they were still all in high school. Within a year of their album's release--and helped with a video rotation on MTV's TRL --A Fever You Can't Sweat Out climbed the charts, becoming the top selling independent album and 17th highest selling album in the United States.
The initial lineup of the band consisted of four individuals: Brendon Urie on vocals, Ryan Ross on guitar, Spencer Smith on drums, and Brent Wilson on bass. Recently the band has gone through a minor change with their original bassist leaving the band and being replaced by Jon Walker. They are signed to the independent label Decaydance Records.
