Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original Panasonic TY-LA1000 Lamp.
NOTE: The bulb should be handled with a clean lint-free cloth at all times to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…
.-Let’s begin by flipping over the lamp on its bottom, you’ll notice one circular opening and two square openings on the metal casing.
.-Inside is one screw for each opening on the bottom, so you’ll have to use a long screw driver to reach them.
.-The easy way to unscrew them is to insert the screw driver and guide it watching inside from one of the other holes in the metal casing.
.-We also strongly suggest using a screwdriver that has a magnetized tip so the removal and inserting of the screws is hassle free.
.-Remove the metal case by pulling it out, if you have trouble taking it out check on the bottom for a loose screw that might be in the way.
.-On the side of the bulb you’ll find two metal pieces holding it, remove them but don’t throw them out.
.-Locate the connector and withdraw the two screws holding it in place.
.-Pull of the connector from the plastic enclosure and remove the old lamp.
.-Ready your new Philips brand lamp that should look like this.
.-Insert it in the same location you removed the old one.
.-When placing the two metal pieces, remember to bypass the metal clip on the back of the bulb that adds extra security to it.
.-Reinsert back the screws to secure the connectors.
.-Return the matal cover to its original position; make sure it goes all the way in.
.- Introduce the screws on the tip of your screwdriver and guide it carefully down.
.- Make sure that they are installed correctly; otherwise the metal cage will feel loose.
.-Insert back the screw on the side and make sure that the metal cage doesn’t move.
.-And you’re finished,
Congratulations!
