Just a review of the Panafax Line of fax machines as I see them. With some [hopefully] notes on what you should be looking for when you purchase a used machine. I have been a Panasonic tech since '93 and love their line of machines. I will update this as I have time.

UF-300, 311, 312, 321, 322, 342, 344, PD-3400  Ink Jet printing, low volume, not very good for home use as ink tends to dry up with inactivity. Requires more maintenance than toner based units and not as efficient ie higher cost per copy.

UF-744/788  5 ppm (page per minute) Laser based printing, medium volume. Good reliable machines. upgrade seperation pad to pt# DZJN00016 for better ADF feeding. upgradeable memory.

UF-745/755/755e  6 ppm Laser based printing, medium volume. Good reliable machines. upgrade seperation pad to pt# DZJN00016 for better ADF feeding. upgradeable memory.

These units are very sensitive to re-manufactured toner cartridges and might through odd error codes.

UF-560  8 ppm Laser based printing, medium volume. Good reliable machines. upgrade seperation pad to pt# DZJN00016 for better ADF feeding. upgradeable memory. The slowest of the UG-3313 based units

UF-550/770/880  10 ppm Laser based printing, medium volume. Good reliable machines. upgrade seperation pad to pt# DZJN00016 for better ADF feeding. upgradeable memory. The Work horse of the Panafax Line. These have won many awards for customer satisfaction and reliability.

UF-885/895  10 ppm Laser based printing, medium volume. Good reliable machines. upgrade seperation pad to pt# DZJN00016 for better ADF feeding. upgradeable memory. The Work horse of the Panafax Line. These have won many awards for customer satisfaction and reliability. confirm machine have had there firmware updated and specifically the 885 had a Technical Bulletin put out about the need to install noise filters on 3 power harnesses. VERY COMMONLY NEVER UPDATED.
