You can easily paint & decoupage this Disney Princess Shelf whatever you age or skill level! Just follow the directions below for TOO much FUN!
Our Finished Item.
Our Kati Rose needed a last minute gift for her sister's Birthday. This is what we came up with and finished in less than hour! She made a shelf to hang on the wall and hold Disney Princess Stamps. Here's how it was done.
First she basecoated a small wood shelf with pink paint.
She gave it two coats to make sure she had the best coverage.
Next it was time for the decoupage. She used a mixture of 50% glue and 50% water. For the Disney Princess picture, she cut a design out of Disney wrapping paper.
Using the glue-water mixture, she brushed a thin layer on back of picture. She applied it to the shelf and painted a layer of glue-water over the top of picture. Then she used a paper tower to wipe picture to remove bubbles under the picture.
Next she used magenta paint to free hand paint hearts in a random pattern.
Hint**Use a hair dryer to speed drying between steps.
When everything is dry. Use a brush-on sealer to add SHINE and to seal your project! Add 2 thin coats and allow to dry.
(Optional) For Maximum Cuteness--add dots where ever you like with Tulips Yellow Slick Dimensional Paint from TULIP NEON & GLOW STARTER KIT
Here's the final product. We hope you have a try at this FUN project! You can easily modify with any pictures and designs that you choose!

Jo & Kati Rose
