We are timesharers and travel about every two months somewhere. We are night workers and  and sleep very little . Time is very precious around this house.Packing has been a big issue. I have been perfecting it to make it as simple as possible, and have come to the conclusion that I must do all the packing, which has proved to save time, trips to Walmart for forgotten items, unpacking and re-packing, complaints, disappointments and frustration. We usually leave on Friday, so I have all week to get this done. I will be packing for my husband, and two teen boys. We have six kids so there was a time I had to pack for as many as eight. We do take extra people with us so I am prepared for them as well with items they may for get or need.I even keeep extra travel bags on hand for the unprepared. I keep lots of travel items on hand to save space, we do refill these if possible to save a little on expenses. I keep travel folding tooth brushes, soaps, bodywash, deodorant,  shampoo, conditioner, several brands, hair gel, lotions, powders, toothpaste, hairspray, ect.  You can get all these items at Walmart, they have a section with these travel items, or of course another department store of your choice. I set out all the bags on Sunday night before my week begins,[which is 11:oopm Sunday night]. I start with daily care products . We do leave these items in their bags after each trip. Never do I trust they are still there. I inventory each bag. I have a check list: tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash or soap, the individuals preference, floss, hairbrush, razors, if appliable, hair gel if used, cologne, they all love it!,deodorant, and any special items that family member uses. Then I utilize time during the week to get clothes washed up, and packed. I keep everyone's swimming gear  in a closet because it is the number one forgotten, miss-placed items. I have special beach bags, mens- and womens. It contains flipflops-swim suits, [2] for each person, beach towels, [2] each, sunblock, repellant, nose plugs, ear drops for swimmers, and beach toys . Now for the clothes: 5 outfits due to all our time shaares have washers and dryers. I start with undergarments. pack everyones, including socks, they use to forget those all the time before I packed! Then I take each bag, put in 5 outfits, and one work out besides for the fitness center, otherwise they will wear anything up there. Two bathing suits came about because it is horrible to lput on a wet suit, so while one dries, you have another, same with the beach towels. As each bag is packed, I move it to an unknown area{ that is unknown to the owner} as they could and will take things out, dig through it, mess it up, looking for a favorite shirt, ect. The unknown area many times is the trunk if we take our vehicle, or my closet if we rent something. Out of site out of mind! I also keep a first aid bag packed. Then there is a bag that we keep ready to travel with coffee creamer, laundry soap, bleach, spot remover sticks, coffee filters, salt, pepper, garlic, and seasoning salt. We may add other items to this. Even the bleach and laundry soap are travel size. So , I guess organazation, advance packing and preparations, keeps some things packed at all times, makes us pretty portable. My husband and I each travel 160 miles, in seperate directions round trip to work. We keep bags packed  for unexpected stay- overs due to weather, car break downs, double shifts ect. We have gotten pretty good at this packing thing, hope this has been some help to anyone who does or might take up this life style.
