I love packing stuff I have sold on ebay! I want my buyers happy with their new to them purchase and the item to arrive safely, as much as I can control the pack job itself.

LESSON 1 - HOW NOT TO PACK!

Packing your sold items is easy. We will show you examples of HOW NOT TO PACK firstly. Do not follow the procedures used below.  These examples are the wrong way to pack your sold items and will leave the buyer in a very bad mood. All of these items were damaged and became trashed due to inadequate shipment packages.  DO NOT PACK sold items like this.

• Received this damaged package (very light pack job.) 
• Notice the integral handle.
• The seller may as well have put a sticker on the item.
•  Not recommended unless you do not like the buyer and want the item to arrive to its destination DAMAGED.

• Picture # 2 (loss $70.00 US including shipping)
• This rat's nest arrived.
• I really hadn't ordered any wildlife habitats, or spare parts, which I found broken off (of the item purchased).
• I'm a great fan of the environment but prefer all rat's nest wildlife habitats outside of my home.
• DISAPPOINTING to say the least.
• This is quite common, unfortunately.
• THE MORE JUNKY THE ITEM, THE MORE LIKELY YOU ARE TO RECEIVE A VERY BAD PACK JOB like in # 2 picture.
• This is an important lesson and you will be quizzed on this point later. (when you purchase a junky item on ebay).

• This is the unpacked item. 
• Notice the optional altered state not found in the original ebay photo copies.
• The detached and broken pieces can be found at the bottom of the shipment box. BEYOND REPAIR should have been included in the ebay description of item.
• This gentleman told me I hadn't paid a lot for it, even thought he charged $50.00 to deliver (I figure $15.00 overcharge). 
• I don't mind paying a fair price but this was JUNK. All metal was ROTTEN, and was DECOMPOSING TO THE TOUCH.
• Yes, the metal was rotted, I do not lie! Touching it caused it to crack and disintegrate! Swear on a Bible, I do! 
• BEYOND RESTORATION, I made a great contribution and addition to the our community landfill site.
• SOME ARE STILL SELLING JUNK ON EBAY! Be wary and aware, use your gut feeling. I blame my poor eyesight!

• Shows what not to use to protect your valuable shipment on its way to the new owner.
• Do not use trash as packing material. IMPORTANT! Do not use trash as packing material please!
• Use clean shredded paper, dunnage air bags, foam peanuts, etc...
• Do not use old tissue paper, kitchen cast-offs, tree leaves, used kleenex, etc... or materials as shown in picture # 4.
• Using trash as packing materials usually offends the buyer and makes the purchase a bad experience.

• Picture # 5 (no $ loss- just in a bad mood!)
• Here we have two halves of a box to make a whole one. This is a container fully suitable for its (protection of contents) purpose? NO! What is this prestigious vintage electronics shipper/junk man thinking? He obviously does not care for the recipient in the least! That be me! THAT IS WHY I TOOK A PICTURE! Most stores throw nice sturdy boxes away all the time. Ask for a proper box. These can be recycled by you (and me) for their new purpose. There is no reason whatsoever for this kind of VBPJ. Don't do this! Just say no!

It is important to keep your buyers happy when dealing on EBAY.
